The legal structures the risks prevention are divided into four major areas of study:

Security at work:

Discipline that studies risks derived from work with machines, tools, and all factors from which ,accidents, can be derived. It is safe procedures of performance have to bee established, to investigate accidents and incidents, and to form and inform workers of the risks and how to avoid them.

Industrial Hygiene:

The presence of polluting agents in work places, represents a risk for the health of the workers and therefore, must be detected and evaluated like a prevention instrument of Professional Diseases and Diseases Related with the Work.

Ergonomics and psychology:

This third discipline includes ,in fact, two very different specialties: Ergonomics, analyzes adjustment of surroundings, means and systems of work to the person, and the Psychology, takes care of all aspects related to the influence that work has on the psychic well-being of the workers, stress, over working, etc.

Health Care:

Its objective is to watch over the state of health of the workers and possible risks derived from labor activity and to contribute to take correct measures, based on the worker population exposed. Doctors will determine the specific medical examinations that each worker will have to be put under.
